October 2018 updates
We’ve made a few recent updates to the site!
- s
- New local anti raids groups have started! Groups have been active in Haringey and Newham, and a couple of groups outside the capital are in the process of forming.
- We have added a handy guide to setting up your own local anti raids groups. Have a read here. If you would like to set up a group and have any questions do get in touch!
- We have added to the Understanding Immigration Raids section based on recent research carried out by Corporate Watch, set out in the new book ‘UK Border Regime: a critical guide’.
- We have updated our ‘know your rights’ card for home & workplace raids based on the changes brought in last year regarding licensed premises. The changes stipulate that immigration officers can gain entry to premises licensed to sell alcohol or late night refreshment without the need for a warrant or an Assistant Director’s letter. This will affect off-licenses and many take-aways and restaurants.
See you in the streets!
