It’s been a long time
So, it’s been a while since our last update. We lost access to our website for a while, but it’s back now. To give a very short summary of the last few years:
- New local anti-raids groups have started since our last update! Calling them “new” is a stretch; some of them have been around a while. Welcome to Edinburgh, Sheffield, and Leeds!
- The community of Pollokshields in Glasgow turned out to resist an immigration raid, and they were successful. Power to them, and all local communities resisting immigration raids! You can read some commentary from our Haringey group and others on the situation.
- There are some new proto-groups in the process of setting up locals across the UK at the moment. Watch this space.
- Freedom of Information data from immigration raids in London from 2014-2019 has been visualised and dug into in a special website. It’s got local breakdowns, a map, and an FOI template if you want to get your own local data.
